The Bike Shed Fundraiser Party!
Saturday 11 July, 3–9PM
Join us to raise funds for our mutual aid bikes program, with a party of live music, an alley cat race, a raffle, dinner, drinks, DJs, and an exhibition showcasing the entries to our recent mural competition.
Over the past two years we have given away over 180 fixed-up bikes (and helmets, lights, and locks) to people in the community in need, working with orgs like Palestine Australia Relief and Action, River Nile School, Wheel Sisters, and many others. This year we’ll be working with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre to fix up a new batch of bikes and bring our bike mechanics course free of charge to people in their network. As a non-profit organisation that relies on our recycled bike sales to keep the lights on, we’d love your help in supporting and sharing this project with the broader community, so please come along and invite your loved ones.
Join us at the Pavilion at CERES next to the Bike Shed by the Merri Merri Creek on Wurundjeri Country from 3–9pm, Sat 11 July. Entry is sliding scale $5-15 with no one turned away for lack of funds, and discounted drinks for volunteers. If you can’t attend, consider buying some raffle tickets.
